Due to the importance, we are again sharing this high priority reminder below. If you have not yet started or completed your enrollment at the uTax Enterprise Management Portal (EMP) and/or completed compliance testing with your selected banking partner for the upcoming tax season, we strongly encourage you to act now!
In addition, if you have applied for and/or require a new EFIN for this upcoming season, we are sharing this IRS Quick Alert issued on Friday, to expect a delay in EFIN application processing. Don’t forget to renew your PTIN, they expire on December 31, 2021.
Repeat High Priority Reminder:
While uTax and our banking partners send annual office setup and enrollment reminders each season, we strongly encourage you to pay special attention this year and act NOW. Why? It has been widely reported and acknowledged by our banking partners, that the nationwide shortage of transportation workers and overall labor pool and could affect the ability to receive your marketing materials and check stock in a timely manner. This impact is only expected to increase as we approach the busy holiday season.
By taking steps now to complete your office setup and enrollment at the uTax Enterprise Management Portal (EMP) and compliance testing with your selected banking partner, you’ll be doing your part to ensure you’ll be ready to serve your clients ahead of the competition.
By now, all renewed partners should have received an automated Office Setup & Bank Enrollment is Now Open communication from email@example.com, containing easy step-by-step instructions for completing office setup and enrollment at EMP and for more details, access to the Single Office or Service Bureau & Multi-Office EMP User Guides for TY2021. Don’t forget that for our returning partners, information is carried forward from the previous year and in most cases, simply requires a careful review.
- Important Note to our Service Bureau Partners: Please ensure your sub-sites are aware of this important information. Remember, enrollment for your sub-sites cannot be completed until you first activate your Main Site at EMP and then activate the Sub-sites you’ll be working with for this upcoming tax season.
